Do you agree? Even after production delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, fans have been waiting for “Kakegurui” to be renewed for the third season. Kakegurui Season 3: Release Date
As long as Mappa or Netflix, which is licensed to stream the series outside of Japan, does not announce a solid renewal announcement, it is unclear if “Kakéguri” Season 3 will be returning. Renewals are often based on popularity and the amount of source material available. The Japanese manga series “Kakegurui” was written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Tooru Nomura, and there are now 14 volumes and 82 chapters. So far, the anime has covered 56 episodes which means there’s almost enough for one more season right now. The first season ended on an original episode, and the end of the second season also diverged from the original (in both cases, a conclusion was created in case the show wasn’t renewed). In that case, there would definitely be three seasons left to air. The series’ popularity is uncertain. Netflix does not disclose viewing statistics. Moreover, the number of fans and ratings do not reflect how many people actually watch. A series renewal today would press the show into production; therefore, a release in 2022 can still be envisioned.

Kakegurui Season 3: Plot
Rei stakes 3 million yen (and her livestock status) on a coin toss, while Yumeko stakes the Jabami name: if she loses, she will be banished from her family and become a Batsubama. Although Yumeko appears to win, she loses a lot of votes in the end by gambling. In the meantime, Kirari takes note of Rei’s determination and lets her become human again with a new name. These threads would presumably be continued in Season 3 of this shonen anime. It is difficult to know how closely events will align with the next chapters of the manga, which include a drama for Mary and the Momobami sisters and more election shenanigans.
