How Joya copes with the reality of giving up on her career to be a full-time mother.Kenya lives with his spouse Joya and their kids in Los Angeles. They were trying to fit in the situation. The family decides to have a holiday in Fiji. When Joya and Kenya were on a family trip, Kenya somehow gets to know about Joya’s book signing event held in Fiji. He was shocked to know that Joya took Fiji just because of her book signing program. But, after viewing an episode of ‘Black-ish, Kenya realized that he should try to make everything excellent for their wedding. He attends her book signing program and informs her that he is proud of her. During the whole season, the family has disagreements regarding the most trivial matters. Season 2 might probe more inward into the Barris family’s vulnerabilities and instabilities. Joya and Kenya are assumed to work on their marriage and be more accountable when it comes to their children.
